• Barack Obama says he stopped wearing an American flag lapel pin shortly after the 911 attacks so he could show his patriotism by talking to citizens. After 911 almost every car in Florida had an American flag flying from the window
• Rush thanks Rep. Joe Wilson-R, SC for supporting Rush, and also Rep. Doug Lamborn-R, CO over the Phony Soldier stupid, ginned up controversy
• Code Pink defaced the Berkeley, CA military recruitment office while the recruiters were inside. The military officer wrote an open letter to Berkeley stating that the messages left behind were untrue
• Marines were spit on when they arrived in Oakland, CA
• The Orange County Register came up with another real Phony Soldier. Chester Stiles was never a Navy Seal
• Are members of congress accountable for anything? This is a piece about the case of Staff Sergeant Frank Wuterich which tests this basic question. Rep. Murtha is the subject of this lawsuit.  Wuterich is suing Murtha for alleging that he has been libeled.
• A caller notices that many lefties who criticize Rush's support of the war because Rush has not been in the military, did not serve either
• A caller heard a talk show host in Philadelphia say that he had denied Ann Coulter a chance to promote her book. The caller thinks that Coulter and Hannity are hurting the conservative cause, that she's too provocative. Rush disagrees, he thinks that Ann is brilliant and funny
• A caller asks Rush what blogs he likes to read. After about 1990 Rush started outsourcing to his staff the filtering of news sources. Only Rush read the blogs though. There are some really brilliant people blogging with unique insights. Rush doesn't read liberal blogs because he doesn't want to surround himself with insane people. Conservative blogs never have unanimity of thought.
• A caller voted Republican for the first time in 2000. The caller is angry at George Bush about Campean and Ramos' imprisonment. How is it good for the country. Rush says when it comes to the immigration issue, he has never been on board with the White House. Some US attorneys have told Rush that they agree with the caller about immigration. The US Attorney who tried the border guards had the law on his side, and the attorney had no choice but to try these border guards
